Marketplace terms

VRTasker.com facilitates remote access to independent professionals. Contractors set their hourly rates, decide which consultations to accept and are not VRTasker employees solely by virtue of using the platform. Customers purchase time credits in advance for booked sessions. Taxes, discounts, cancellations, refunds, platform fees and applicable processing charges will be disclosed before payment. Session availability and outcomes are not guaranteed.

Participation, risk & liability waiver — DRAFT

Remote video instruction has limits. VRTasker does not supervise physical sites and cannot inspect concealed defects. Customers must follow safe practices, read product manuals, use appropriate protective equipment and stop work where danger arises. Regulated work, energized electrical systems, gas lines, structural changes, elevated work, heavy equipment, confined spaces, safety-critical vehicles, health emergencies and similar high-risk activities require appropriately credentialed on-site professionals. Customers voluntarily choose whether to follow guidance and acknowledge inherent risks to the extent allowed by applicable law.

Neither this agreement nor any platform term is intended to waive rights or liabilities that cannot legally be waived, including liabilities arising from VRTasker's own conduct where prohibited. Liability limits, indemnity, dispute venue and arbitration rules, if any, require counsel review and jurisdiction-specific drafting.

Privacy & recording — DRAFT

Collect only information necessary for account registration, services, tax reporting, payment and safety. Identity documents, EIN/W-9 data, background verification and bank credentials are sensitive and should be managed through encrypted, access-controlled systems and specialized providers. Stripe hosts sensitive payouts onboarding; VRTasker must not collect full card data or bank credentials in an ordinary web form. Inform parties of service providers, storage locations, retention, deletion and access policies.

No remote session recording may start until every applicable party has received notice and granted valid consent under applicable state and federal wiretap or privacy rules. Maintain an easily accessible recording indicator and stop recording on withdrawal. Annotations, location information, before/after imagery and media shared to social networks also require consent from identifiable individuals and owners where applicable. Do not share personal information obtained from third-party sites without a lawful basis.

Refunds, complaints & moderation — DRAFT

All users can submit complaints through the Resolution Center. Machine-based triage may classify cases and suggest next steps; no AI system makes final determinations of fraud, legal liability or binding monetary disputes. Human staff review cancellation disputes, inappropriate conduct, identity complaints, safety issues, refund eligibility and appeals. Emergency hazards must be referred to emergency services.

Coupon and referral terms — DRAFT

FIRST25 offers one eligible new customer's first qualified session 25% off the service fee before applicable tax, subject to anti-abuse review. Referred friends may receive the same first-booking offer; eligible referrers receive a single future-use 25% reward after the friend completes a first paid service. Rewards cannot be stacked, transferred, exchanged for cash or used to pay tax or tips. The additional 5% social posting credit is subject to consent, proof of permitted public sharing, content moderation and refund/credit rules. Promotional offers and contractor payouts must be funded under an approved financial policy.

Accessibility & support

Camera and smart-glasses capabilities vary by device. A standard browser video option should always remain available. Real-time translated instructions can be inaccurate; they must not replace critical safety or compliance communications.
